I'm designating this post just to one day & thing, our private helicopter ride!
We decided to do this as a bit of a wedding gift to each other, I have wanted to go in a helicopter for so long, plus landing on top of a mountain was just too good to pass up.
As the title states, it is absolutely crossing something off my bucket list, througout our whole trip a few things will be crossed off.
So at the very early time of 4am, which wasn't so bad, our body clocks were still set to 'straya time we set off with me driving. The roads were dead luckily, probably best for the safety of everyone else as I almost went into the wrong lane a few times, ha! It took a few wrong turns but we made it eventually out to Pitt Meadows airfield.
Our pilot Bryce was amazing, (I cannot recommend Sky Helicopters enough if you ever get the opportunity) he tried his best to not make me nervous as hell. It's a weird feeling taking off for for the first time in a chopper, from the moment we took off I went to town with photos...I may have brought 3 cameras, it was necessary! We had such an amazing sunrise with a low fog over some of the low lying areas, creating a cool effect.

Landing on top of a mountain was pretty dang nerve wracking, he would have to test the spot to make sure it was flat enough to rest the chopper on. The view from the top once we got out and were able to walk around was, well it left me speechless, I have never seen any mountains like that before, it was so quiet, I really didn't want to leave!
We flew back after about 40 mins, I sat in the front coming back, holy shit, I think taking off in the front is much much worse, you can see everything and all that was running through my head was 'Will I die if I fall from this height?' haha. It was fine after take off though!
As someone who will remain nameless COUGH CARA COUGH didn't trust my driving skills we returned the car right after the flight, even though I wanted to go to some other places...wuss. Afterwards we spent the most of the day really not doing a whole lot, a wander around Vancouver some more, I can't express enough how pretty this city is. Followed by naps and more food!
I took so many photos on this, I really had trouble deciding which to share, many were culled!
Thanks for reading again, enjoy the rest of the photos and more posts coming very soon (I hope!!).
