Day 7 & 8 - Down time and last day in Hong Kong

We decided to spend this day chilling in the hotel room, only venturing out  for food and collecting our washing, it was super humid and rainy weather. The day before we had found a laundrette that would wash our big bags of clothes, it only came to $5.00 AUD, I honestly felt like I should be tipping them, like it wasn't enough at all. Their shop was so small and so humid, I really felt for them!
Apart from that not a whole lot to report for the rest of the day.

Our last day we decided to spend down on the harbour front, enjoy the views and doing a bit of shopping. We ventured into Harbour Plaza, this place is a behemoth, honestly so many high end shops. Apart from lunch the visit ended up mostly for Cara and her make up! I think she could spend days in there, trying everything, there is just so much!
That evening I was a little mopey, I didn't want to leave, I never do! I love it there. We went out and through the Fa Yuen Street markets and Ladies Markets, via a few camera stores for some goodies for me.
The weather changed drastically that evening, a huge storm came through, flooding the MTR, the hail smashed the roof at a shopping mall and some areas had over 110mm fall in under an hour. Honestly i'd never been in rain that intense so we made our way back to the hotel for the evening.

Day 1 & 2- Transit and exploring.

Hello from Hong Kong!
As per usual the first day was full of travel, the flight from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur was smooth, we had a whole middle row of 4 seats between the two of us, it makes the flight so so much better when you have room to move about! Having never been to KL airport it was all new to me, changing terminals we took the train back and forth 3 times before we found the right one. I wish our next flight was the same space wise as the first, I'm quite a big guy as most of you know so on the flight to Hong Kong it made for sardines in a tin on my aisle!
The fun didn't end there, upon our arrival to Hong Kong we found out our bags hadn't made the flight so we had nothing, after chatting with the Malaysia Air folk we worked out it would be on the next flight in and sent to our hotel, with that we caught the train to the hotel ( I LOVE HONG KONG TRANSPORT), checked in, ordered some room service and went to sleep. We were awoken at 3am by a call that my bags had arrived, finally after that was sorted, sleep resumed.

Today, after a nice sleep in we scored some tasty, super unhealthy baked goods and explored a few places, Kowloon Park, the promenade on the waterfront and night markets in Mongkok. Nothing too stressful, just relaxing. Just wandering around Hong Kong is amazing for street photography, so many opportunities all over the place. Unfortunately today had alot of glare and ruined the sky in alot of my shots.
